Bolton Athletics is seeking a full time, experienced, motivated, and visionary Head Coach to lead the development of a new and ambitious high-performance track & field program in Bolton, Ontario. This role will play a key part in establishing Bolton as a leading hub for athlete development in Canada, with a pathway from grassroots to national and international podium finish.
• Design and deliver a comprehensive junior development program for youth athletes
• Lead the creation and growth of a high school athletics academy, including athlete recruitment and long-term development planning
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and athlete centered high-performance training environment
• Recruit, mentor, and oversee assistant coaches and volunteers
• Build relationships with schools, community partners, and sport organizations
• Support athlete progression from introductory levels to competitive pathways
• Work with the Club board and facility staff to prepare and maintain programs to best utilize the new Bolton High Performance Athletics Centre.
• Be available for travel for athlete support at competitions, Provincially, Nationally, and Internationally. • Collaborate with integrated support teams (strength & conditioning, Physical therapy, mental coaching, sport science)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• NCCP Competition – Development or in progress
• Member in good standing with Athletics Canada
• Proven experience coaching youth and/or high-performance athletes
• Safe Sport, Respect in Sport and background screening compliant.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certification a benefit.
• Experience working within a school-based athletics program
• Background in building or growing sport programs
• Multi-event coaching knowledge or specialization in key track & field disciplines
